29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where (a) portable ladder(s) was/were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder: At jobsite located at 17729 Eby St. Overland Park, KS, employee engaged in residential framing activities were exposed to falls from approximately 10.5 feet, in that the Werner aluminum ladder used to access the working surface did not extend 3 feet from the eave of the working surface. M.R. Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(1)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1439918, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 12-27-2019, with respect to a workplace located at 9202 W. 177 Overland Park, KS.
