29 CFR 1926.651(k)(2):Where the competent person found evidence of a situation that could result in possible cave-in, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions, exposed employee(s) was/were not removed from the hazardous area until the necessary precautions have been taken to ensure their safety. Opposite 200 Hartford Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA: On or about October 8, 2021, there were conditions at the employer's worksite that could result in a possible cave-in-an employee working in an excavation where the protective system was more than 6 feet from the bottom of the excavation where the employee was working� and the exposed employee was not promptly removed from the hazardous area until the necessary precautions were taken to ensure his safety.
