29 CFR 1926.1153(i)(2)(i)(C): The employer did not ensure that each employee covered by this section could demonstrate knowledge and understanding of specific measures the employer had implemented to protect employees from exposure to respirable crystalline silica, including engineering controls, work practices, and respirators to be used: a) Walter Apartments 4 Executive Drive Marlton, NJ 08053: The employer did not ensure that employees using the STIHL pressurized water pump with a STIHL Cut Off Saw received training on how to use the water pump according to the manufacturer's instructions to eliminate the generation of dust. Employees using the saw were observed generating dust while cutting into concrete containing silica, on or about 9/29/21. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19. Krisanna Construction Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1153(i)(2)(i)(C), which were contained in OSHA inspection number 1454698, citation number 1, item number 2c and was affirmed as a final order on 5/27/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 4 Executive Dr, Marlton, NJ 08053.
