29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) At 8764 Rand Ave, Buildings 6 Belforest Apartments, Daphne, Alabama: On or about April 30, 2019 and at times prior; the controlling employer allowed subcontracted employees working for Jesus Rodriguez to perform framing activities without first ensuring those employees were trained on the hazards associated with falls to include but not limited to setting up and inspecting fall protection exposing his employees to a fall hazard of up to 30 feet to the ground below . b) At 8764 Rand Ave, Buildings 9 Belforest Apartments, Daphne, Alabama: On or about April 30, 2019 and at times prior; the controlling employer allowed subcontracted employees working for Joel Trigueres to perform framing activities without first ensuring those employees were trained on the hazards associated with falls to include but not limited to setting up and inspecting fall protection exposing his employees to a fall hazard of up to 30 feet to the ground below . c) At 8764 Rand Ave, Buildings 4 Belforest Apartments, Daphne, Alabama: On or about April 30, 2019 and at times prior; the controlling employer allowed subcontracted employees working for Socios Atlanta Construction to perform siding activities without first ensuring those employees were trained on the hazards associated with falls to include but not limited to setting up and inspecting fall protection exposing his employees to a fall hazard of up to 30 feet to the ground below. d) At 8764 Rand Ave, Building 1 Belforest Apartments, Daphne, Alabama: On or about April 30, 2019 and at times prior; the controlling employer allowed subcontracted employees working for Guzman Remodeling to perform framing activities without first ensuring those employees were trained on the hazards associated with falls to include but not limited to setting up and inspecting fall protection exposing his employees to a fall hazard of up to 18 feet to the ground below. THE GARCIA BUILDING CO., LLC WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1330027, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 3, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JANUARY 2, 2019, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 985 PLANT ST., MACON, GEORGIA.
