29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): Except as elsewhere required or permitted by Subpart S of Part 1910, live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more were not guarded against accidental contact by use of approved cabinets or other forms of approved enclosures or by any of the means identified in paragraphs (A), (B), (C), and (D) of 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): Weld Shop: Employees access the electrical equipment to change fuses during welding and metal fabrication operations. The ACME general purpose transformer was identified energized with wiring exposed from the base of the panel. Employees were exposed to electrical shock hazards of 120 volts. The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard [29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(I)], which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1010032, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on April 7, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 11251 Rancho Carmel Drive, San Diego, California 92199.
