29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(6): Unsecured ladder(s) were used on surfaces that were not stable and level: a- 135 Garden Hills, Lakewood NJ: An employee was exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 24 feet to the ground surface below, when using an unsecured, portable aluminum extension ladder that was set on a surface that was not stable. Condition observed on or about 01/30/19. Navy Contractors, Inc. was previously ciited for a Serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(6), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1300288, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 06/08/18, with respect to a workplace located at 62 & 64 Wadsworth Avenue, Lakewood NJ. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
