29 CFR 1926.451(e)(1): Safe access was not provided to scaffold platforms when the platforms were more than 2 feet above or below the point of access: a) On or about July 26, 2018, employees accessed tubular welded frame scaffold platforms approximately 6 feet above the ground by climbing the ends of the scaffold frames that were not designed for such use. Polo Masonry Builders, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.451(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1207818, citation number 1, item number 6 and was affirmed as a final order on May 23, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 2450 N. Clybourn Ave., Chicago, Illinois 60614. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
