29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a- Block 72, Lot 7.09, 419 - 2nd Street, Lakewood NJ: The Employer did not ensure that each employee has been trained to recognize and minimize hazards associated with falling and steps needed to avoid and/or minimize these hazards. Employees were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 12 feet to the ground surface below, when walking/working from pitched roofs of a residential structure while wearing full body harnesses and or body belts with no lanyards attached to them and an anchor point or when not using any fall protection. These conditions were noted on or about 02/05/18. Giant Builders, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1258159, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/01/17, with respect to a workplace located at Block 15.19 - Lot 36, Aisling Way, Marlton NJ. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WIHT 29 CFR 1903.19.
