29 CFR 1910.179(j)(3): A complete periodic inspection of crane(s) had not been conducted in the past 12 months. On or about October 11, 2017, throughout the facility, hoists are used in a corrosive environment where they are exposed to acids and their vapors. Where employees are exposed to struck-by hazard from a hoist failure, the employer did not conduct periodic inspections of the hoist.
