29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not ensure that Safety Data Sheets were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s): On or about August 10, 2017, employees could not readily access the safety data sheets through the on-line system for the following reasons: a. it was not readily apparent how to get the system to pull up a copy of the SDS for the material (it is necessary to click on LBL (label) to have a copy of the SDS display on the screen b. it was not possible to pull up the SDS for the material unless the employee knew the product number for the material stored or purchased at the site (product numbers for material purchased for use at the site such as propane are not readily available) In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
