29 CFR 1910.305(c)(4): Snap switches mounted in boxes did not have faceplates installed so as to completely cover the opening and seat against the finished surface a. On or about March 15, 2017, at the Mangrove restaurant kitchen area, employees are exposed to an electric shock from a light switch with exposed conductors that did not have a face plate cover. NOTE 1: Sugar Bay Resort & Spa was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 566738, Citation Number 1, Item Number 6(a), and was affirmed as a final order on 11/29/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 6500 Estate Smith Bay, St. Thomas, VI 00802. NOTE 2: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.
