29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition(s) Throughout facility - On or about January 18, 2017, the employer had not taken defective powered industrial trucks out of service until they had been restored to a safe operating condition, thereby exposing employees to struck by hazards and equipment failure while lifting heavy steel coils. Dockside Steel Processing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.178(p)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1116738, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 2, 2016 , with respect to a workplace located at 11828 S. Stony Island, Chicago, IL. Dockside Steel Processing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.178(p)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 891698, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on May 20, 2013 , with respect to a workplace located at 11828 S.
