29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii) Each employee performing framing and other related activities, in excess of six feet above the ground surface below, is not trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii). Quick Carpentry, Inc. does not ensure that each employee working at heights greater than six feet above the ground surface below has been trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii). This violation was most recently observed at Block 14802, Lot 89, 6 Mimosa Court, Sicklerville NJ where company employees were exposed to fall hazards up to and in excess of 21 feet to the ground surface below when performing framing and other related activities from pitched roofs and by unprotected window openings without the use of any fall protection. At the time of the inspection, these employees had not received training regarding the identification, elimination, etc. of fall hazards by a competent person. This condition was noted on or about 10/06/16. To abate this violation the company must ensure that all of their employees who work at heights greater than six feet above the ground surface below, have been trained in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii). Quick Carpentry, Inc. was previously cited for a Serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1138364, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/01/16, with respect to a workplace located at Block 404.37, Lot 2, 2 Kendall Drive, Medford NJ. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
