Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:

29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment is not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: Employees are exposed to fall hazards while preparing bucket trucks for painting and the employer fails to provide the appropriate personal protective equipment. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that employees are provided with the appropriate fall protection equipment and the training necessary to use the equipment properly. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance, including a copy of the site-specific program detailing the procedures used to ensure compliance and training of employees. I-80 Equipment, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.132(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1068975, citation number 1, item number 7 and was affirmed as a final order on June 30, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 120 Walnut Ln. in Colona, IL.
