29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-sloped roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line systems and guardrail systems, warning line systems and safety net systems, or warning line systems and personal fall arrest systems, or warning line systems and safety monitoring systems: The employer does not protect employees engaged in commercial roofing operations 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels. The lack of fall protection was most recently observed on August 4th, 2016 at the jobsite of a new construction project located at 117 Ashland Ave, Fairview Heights, IL 62208. The employees conducting roofing operations are exposed to the hazard of falling nine (9) feet and ten (10) inches.
