29 CFR 1910.1025(c)(1): Employee(s) were exposed to lead at concentrations greater than fifty micrograms per cubic meter of air averaged over an eight-hour period: a) Furnace Area, on or about April 14, 2016 - an employee designated as a Furnace Operator was exposed to lead at a time weighted average exposure of 74 micrograms per cubic meter of air, approximately 1.48 times the OSHA permissible exposure limit of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air. Sampling was performed by an OSHA compliance officer on April 14 2016 for 447 minutes and zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled portion of the shift. Amerway, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1025(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection 315558668, citation number 1, Item 1a and was affirmed as a final order on November 8, 2011 with respect to a workplace located at 3701 Beale Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601.
