29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a) Cruz & Sons General Construction, LLC , at a jobsite located at 7125 Sea Breeze West, Building 6, Sunbury, Ohio 43074: On and/or preceding October 14, 2020, the employer did not ensure employees were trained on the recognition of fall hazards or the procedures required to be followed to minimize the fall hazards. Employees, without fall protection training, were conducting framing activities while working on the third story of an apartment building, thereby exposed to fall hazards of up to 20 feet. Jorge Cruz was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1284747, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on February 20, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 10818 Arrowwood Drive, Plain City, OH 43064
