29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1):Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). (a) On December 13, 2022; the employer did not ensure that employees working in a 6.4 foot deep trench with 72 degree walls and type B soil were protected from cave-in hazards. NOTE - Abatement certification AND documentation are required for this item. HMH Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1926.21(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1455786, Citation 1, Item 4 and was affirmed as a final order on March 23rd, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 3500 West Franklin Road, Meridian, ID 83642.
