29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe condition(s) and the regulation(s) applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazard(s) or other exposure to illness or injury: (a) On or about November 9, 2022, at the Dry Bayou crossing beneath the Bayou Meta Canal project, the employer did not provide training to the employees using the gasoline-powered water pumps that covered personal protective equipment, safe work practices and emergency procedures. The employees were exposed to the hazard of breathing carbon monoxide, a combustion byproduct of the gasoline engines.
