29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: a) 4230 Mobile Highway (Plant 1); On or about September 3, 2014 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards in that employees were allowed to operate a bench grinder with the tongue guards missing. United Plastic Recycling, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 944149, citation number 1, item number 3 / b and was affirmed as a final order on March 10, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 4290 Alatex Road, Montgomery AL.
