29 CFR 1910.95(i)(2)(i): The employer did not ensure that hearing protectors are worn by an employee who is required by 29 CFR 1910.95(b)(1) to wear personal protective equipment: a) EG Plastics LLC. Two employees working at the shredder were exposed to continuous noise. Employees were exposed to 300% and 192% of the permissible daily noise exposure or an equivalent sound level of approximately 97.9dBA and 94.7dBA , respectively. Sampling period was 480 minutes. The employees did not wear hearing protection. The condition was noted at or around 08/16/18. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
