29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(ii): The procedures shall clearly and specifically outline the scope, purpose, authorization, rules, and techniques to be utilized for the control of hazardous energy, and the means to enforce compliance including, but not limited to, the following: 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(ii)(A): A specific statement of the intended use of the procedure; a. On or about July 26, 2018, located in the foundry at the Hunter Mold Machine and its interconnected mold transfer conveyor, employees were exposed to machine struck-by and/or caught-between hazards and electrical shock hazards due to the employer having an inadequate procedure that did not include specific required information with the statement of the intended use of the procedure for employees performing servicing/maintenance activities. Sancast, Inc. a Subsidiary of Wabtec was previously cited for a violation of its equivalent standard 1910.147(c)(4)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1163018, citation number 2, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on February 10, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 535 Clow Lane Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
