29 CFR 1910.29(f)(4): Openings in a stair rail system exceeded 19 inches at its least dimension: a) Sorter and Gravity Area - On or about and times prior to March 14, 2018, the stairway used to gain access to the sorter holding bins contained an opening of approximately 30 inches on the right side ascending, thus exposing employees to a fall hazard. b) Sorter Area - On or about and times prior to March 14, 2018, the metal stairway used to gain access to the stoner had an opening of approximately 30 inches on the left side descending, thus exposing employees to a fall hazard. Great Southern Peanut, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.23(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 962546, citation number 1, item number 5 and was affirmed as a final order on January 9, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 132 Fifth Street, Leesburg, GA 31763. Great Southern Peanut, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.23(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1107788, citation number 2, item number 4a and was affirmed as a final order on July 20, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 132 Fifth Street, Leesburg, GA 31763.
