29 CFR 1910.307(c): Equipment, wiring methods, and installations of equipment in hazardous (classified) locations were not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location: a) In the Powder Coating Department, on April 26, 2016, where the fluorescent lighting above the Nordson Vantage RCM spray booth was not approved for a classified location. Employees spray a flammable powder coating. This condition exposed employees to an explosion/fire hazard. ProMaxima Manufacturing, LTD was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.307(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 702499, citation number 1, item number 5b and was affirmed as a final order on May 12, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 5310 Ashbrook Drive, Houston, TX 77081.
