29 CFR 1926.651(h)(1): Employees were working in excavations in which there was accumulated water, or excavations in which water was accumulating, and adequate precautions had not been taken to protect employees against the hazards posed by water accumulation. (a) Jobsite: On or about December 13, 2019, an employee was working in an approximately 11 foot deep excavation that had approximately 4 to 6 inches of standing water in it. The excavation was dug earlier in the day and water was entering the excavation.
