Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 002A Hazard:
Under section 17(c) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 and 29 CFR 1910.176(a): Permanent aisles or passageways were not appropriately marked: Taylor Pallets & Recycling, Inc., Winder, Ga - Thought the facility - On or about May 30, 2019, employees were exposed to a struck-by hazard while walking and working in pallet storage areas that did not have marked aisle way lanes where forklifts traveled with loads that partially blocked the operator's vision. The employer did not mark walkways so as to indicate locations of safe travel for the pedestrians. The Taylor Pallets & Recycling, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.144(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1240078, citation number 1, item number 8b and was affirmed as a final order on 08/09/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 1030 Bankhead Hwy, Winder, Ga.
