29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. Worksite, 1155 Montauk Highway, East Patchogue. NY: Employees, assigned to assemble a shed in the rear yard of the building, were working from the top of a storage container, approximately 7 ft. above ground without being protected by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems; on or about 12/8/18. NOTE: In addition to abatement certification, the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance to 29 CFR 1903.19.
