29 CFR 1926.451(c)(1)(iii): Ties, guys, braces, or outriggers were not installed to prevent the tipping of supported scaffolds in all circumstances where an eccentric load, such as a cantilevered work platform, was applied or was transmitted to the scaffold: a) On or about July 26, 2018, employees were working from cantilevered scaffold work platforms where ties, guys, braces or outriggers were not installed. Polo Masonry Builders, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.451(c)(1)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1207818, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on May 23 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 2450 N. Clybourn Ave., Chicago, Illinois 60614. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
