Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 002A Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vii): Each employee on a scaffold, not otherwise specified in paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (g)(1)(vi) of this section, more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above lower level was not protected from falls by the use of personal fall arrest systems or guardrail systems meeting the requirements of paragraph (g)(4) of this section. JOBSITE: The employees installing roof shingles from the roof bracket scaffolds were not protected from the hazard of falling approximately 18 feet to the ground with guardrails, personal fall arrest systems or other equivalent means. Above All Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard {29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vii)}, which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 907977, Citation Number 01, Item Number 004a and was affirmed as a final order on 07/24/2013, with respect to a workplace located at Laural Sands Condo's, 1 Seaview Avenue, Bldg "1B", Milford, CT 06460.
