29 CFR 1910.22(c): Covers and/or guardrails were not provided to protect personnel from the hazards of open pits, tanks, vats, ditches, etc. a). Maintenance Shop - On or about and times prior to February 10, 2016, the vehicle service pit was not adequately guarded when not in use, thus exposing employees to a fall hazard of approximately 4 feet onto concrete flooring. b). Cleaner Plant - On or about and times prior to February 9, 2016, the bucket elevator pit was not adequately guarded, thus exposing employees to a fall hazard of approximately 3 feet onto a bucket elevator and/or concrete flooring. Georgia Farm Services, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.23(a)(5) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 942122, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on January 9, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 132 Fifth Street, Leesburg, GA 31763. Great Southern Peanut, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.22(c) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 962546, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on January 9, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 132 Fifth Street, Leesburg, GA 31763.
