29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: On or about August 20, 2014, at 7735 Sarahs Meadow Court, Suwanee, Georgia: Two employees performing siding work were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 10.4-feet when they used an aluminum extension ladder that was not extended three feet above the porch roof landing. Woodman Insulation Co. Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 982832, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on July 17, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at Milton, Georgia.
