Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(ii): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with a stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge: (a) Building 5312 - Workers was constructing a stairway with four risers and it did not have a stairrail system, on or about July 31, 2014. (b) Building 5310 - Workers were using a stairway with twelve risers to assess their work area on the upper floors and it did not have a stairrail system, on or about July 31, 2014. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
