Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1915.73(b): When employees were working in the vicinity of flush manholes and other small openings of comparable size in the deck and other working surfaces, such openings were not suitably covered or guarded to a height of not less than 30 inches: (a) Bay 4, Barge - On or about May 16, 2013 four hatch openings (man holes) near center of barge were open and no guardrails installed. (b) Erection Way, Barge - On or about May 30, 2013 two hatch openings (man holes) near center and one on port side were open with no guardrails installed. Trinity Yachts was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1915.73(b), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 315302646, Citation Number 1, Item Number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on June 22, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 13085 Seaway Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.
