29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: a/ Inside of the Sheetmetal/Tooling/Maintenance/Repair Department, the distance between both tongue guards and the abrasive wheels belonging to a Colcord Wright Pedestal Dual Wheel Grinder, 703550, was measured at approximately one and three-fourths inches. GKN Aerospace was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9) which was contained in OSHA Inspection 311761100, citation 1, item 8, which was issued on 08/11/09.
