29 CFR 1960.8(b): The head of the agency shall comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards applicable to the agency: Junction level smoking area; the door to access the exterior catwalk was not marked "Not An Exit" or similar designation. Employees were exposed to fire and smoke hazards. Reference: 1910.37(b)(5) Each doorway or passage along an exit access that could be mistaken for an exit must be marked "Not An Exit" or similar designation or be identified by a sign indicating its actual use (e.g. closet). THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR.1960.8(b) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION #314022286, CITATION #01, ITEM #002, ISSUED ON 07/08/2010, FINAL ORDER DATE OF 07/29/2010, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 2196 AIRPORT RD., WICHITA, KS. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(2) abatement of the above violation was verified at the time of the inspection. No certification is required.
