Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que estan causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At the warehouse, mobile wood stair, with three (3) risers (10", 9") and two steps (11") built by the employees, which is used on a specific area to had access; did not meet the horizontal angle established in the standard. The stair had an angle of 68.5 degrees, which is in violation. The height to one level to the other was 24 inches. Employees removed the ladder so that forklifts can carry pallets of merchandise to the area. Hazard: Employees exposed to falls. En el almacen, escalera de madera movible, de tres (3) contrahuellas (10", 9") y dos escalones (11") construida por los empleados, la cual es utilizada en un area especifica para lograr acceso; no cumplia con el angulo horizontal establecido en la norma. La escalera tenia un angulo de 68.5 grados, lo cual esta en violacion. La altura entre un nivel y otro es de 24". Los empleados remueven la escalera para que los montacargas puedan llevar las paletas de mercancia hasta esa area. Riesgo: Empleados expuestos a caidas.os
