29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. Edwards Air Force Base, Bldg. 3743: On or about March 11, 2026, and at times prior thereto, employee(s) used forklifts to move material. Appropriate hand protection to include long sleeve shirt was not used while removing and installing liquified gas propane tank(s). This condition exposed employee(s) to burns similar to frostbite.
