29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: On or about July 23rd, 2024 Location: 343 N Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591. a) Employees accessed a 12:12 (rise:run) peak roof through an extension ladder that did not extend 3 ft above the upper landing. Upper landing was about 20 ft from the ground level. Tigers Handyman Service Inc.was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1678593, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on 07/28/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 600 Kimball Avenue, Yonkers .
