Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.652(g)(2): Excavations of earth material to a level greater than 2 feet (.61 m) below the bottom of a shield shall not be permitted: a) On or about April 30, 2024 at the Coyote Meadows Lift Station and Force Main project, where employee working in an excavation more than 2 feet below a trench shield was not protected from a cave-in. The Blue Star Utilities, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652(g)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1634933, citation number 2, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on 01-05-2024, with respect to a workplace located at Hackberry Drive and North Throckmorton Blvd., Anna, TX 75409.
