29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. (a) On or about April 9, 2024, located at 738 East Monroe Avenue, Hartford, WI 53027, the employer failed to ensure that each employee installing underlayment and shingles on the two-story residential home and single story garage had been trained in the recognition of fall hazards and the implementation and use of fall protection, exposing employees to a fall hazard of up to 18 feet. Alexander Hernandez DBA A&A Roofing & Siding LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.503(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1687713, citation number 1, item number 1b, and was affirmed as a final order on 11-08-2023, with respect to a workplace located at 6550 N Meade St, Appleton, WI 54913.
