29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Coating Mill - On or about January 25, 2024, the employer did not provide guarding around the "V" rollers exposing employees to caught in hazards. (b) Maintenance cage - On or about January 25, 2024, the employer did not ensure the floor drill was guarded at point of operation when working with drill exposing employees to struck by hazards. (c) SPM machine - on or about January 25, 2024, the employer did not provide machine guarding to prevent employees walking in the area from being stuck by the SPM machine when it moved on the rail system and/or expanded or contracted to accommodate different size pipe diameters. Jindal Tubular USA LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1)
