29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a- Side & Rear of Structure, 3191 Route 206, Columbus NJ: Workers were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 13 feet 3 inches to the ground surface below, when walking and working at and near the unprotected sides and edges while on top of a commerical structure's addition while not using fall protection. Condition observed on or about 01/18/24. StarMax Construction, LLC. was previously cited for a Repeat violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1526691, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 06/21/21, with respect to a workplace located at Gabriella Way, Newton NJ. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.
