29 CFR 1910.184(c)(9): Employee(s) were not kept clear of load(s) suspended, or about to be lifted by sling(s): Melt Shop: On or about January 15, 2024, the employer did not ensure that employees were kept clear of loads about to be lifted and of suspended loads. This condition exposed employees caught-in or caught-between hazards. Kyoei Steel, LTD was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.184(c)(9), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1507734, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 19, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 8001 Border Steel Rd, Vinton Texas, 79821.
