29 CFR 1910.141(a)(5): Vermin control. Every enclosed workplace shall be so constructed, equipped, and maintained, so far as reasonably practicable, as to prevent the entrance or harborage of rodents, insects, and other vermin. A continuing and effective extermination program shall be instituted where their presence is detected: On or about November 6, 2023, employees performing elevator housekeeping and/or maintenance activities at Rail Modal Group LLC located at 549 East County Road T, Fremont, Nebraska were exposed to vector-borne diseases in that the employer failed to prevent the harborage of mosquitoes in grain elevator manlift.
