29 CFR 1910.140(c)(18): The employer did not ensure that personal fall protection systems are inspected before initial use during each work shift for mildew, wear, damage, and other deterioration, and defective components are removed from service. (a) Building 55, TPA Barn: On or about October 12, 2023, and times prior, employees use personal fall protection equipment provided by the employer that is not inspected prior to use, therefore the rusted/corroded steel snap hooks, rusted/corroded harness steel parts, and the discolored, TPA coated lanyards were not removed from service.
