29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1): Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions: Corner of Davis Ranch Parkway and Skanks Mill, San Antonio, TX, 78254: On or about September 13, 2023, and times prior thereto, employees were exposed to a caught-in hazard while working inside an excavation that was not inspected by a competent person to identify excavation hazards. The CTR Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1926.651(k)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1602125, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 09-20-2022, with respect to a workplace located at 10500 Mitra Way & University Way, San Antonio, TX 78201.
