29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment, including personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head, and extremities, protective clothing, respiratory devices, and protective shields and barriers was not provided, used, and/or maintained. a) On or about August 16, 2023, at the US Postal Service, Cata�o DMDU Annex - Battery Room 9, the following items from the personal protective equipment board were missing: Cap-Off tool, hydrometer and gloves. In addition, the apron had the side straps missing. This condition can expose employees to eye and skin injuries through the exposure to corrosive chemicals from the batteries. NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), respectively.
