29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Employees did not use eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents: On or about July 19, 2023, subcontractor employees were exposed to a struck by hazard while performing roofing activities on a residential home located at 2705 Northview Road, Rocky River, Ohio 44116. The subcontractor employees using air powered nail guns to install roofing materials and the controlling employer did not ensure they were wearing protective safety glasses. CJS Exterior Maintenance LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29CFR1926.100(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1345529 citation number 1, item number 1b, and was affirmed as a final order on 10/16/18, with respect to a workplace located at 6999 Brecksville Road Independence, Ohio 44131.
