29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2):Supported scaffold poles, legs, posts, frames, and uprights did not bear on base plates and mud sills or other adequate firm foundation: On or about May 31, 2023, employees performing plastering work on a residential construction site were observed working on a scaffold platform that was not supported on base plates or mud sills that were adequate and firm to use as a foundation. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards greater than 6 feet from lower levels. Victor Olvera was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1634256, citation number 2 item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on February 10, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 10632 Hidden Chapel El Paso, TX 79924.
