29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed. On or about May 18, 2023, and times prior thereto, portable extension ladder(s) at the jobsite were not positioned in way to extend the side rails more than three feet above the upper landing surface being accessed during the following instances: a) One ladder in the front of the home - East Side b) Two ladders on the side of the home - North Side d) One ladder in the rear of the home - West Side Juan Ramirez was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1663656, citation number One, item number Four and was affirmed as a final order on May 16, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 3355 Monarch Pass Drive in Arlington, TX.
